Performance-based climatic zoning requires handling not only hundreds of climate files, each one with thousands of hourly-data entries for several variables, but also carry out simulations using dozens of energy models representing the building stock as a whole. We developed, tested and published a comprehensive set of tools to automate many parts of the zoning process, offering it free of charge to academics and practitioners in the field. The toolbox is published as open source software to foster further developments in the field.
